Sony Pictures has released the first poster for “The Equalizer 3,” the one-sheet also confirming the film’s first trailer arrives tomorrow.
More importantly, the caption teases that this will be star Denzel Washington’s final appearance as his character Robert McCall. To date, “The Equalizer” franchise marks the only time Washington has worked on sequels.
In the new film, McCall (Denzel Washington) is struggling to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed.
Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friend’s protector by taking on the mafia.
The new entry sees Washington reunite with his “Man of Fire” co-star Dakota Fanning. Also onboard are David Denman, Gaia Scodellaro, Sonia Ben Ammar, Remo Girone, Andrea Dodero and Eugenio Mastrandrea.
“The Equalizer 3” arrives in cinemas on September 1st.
