“The Deep” Co-Stars Reunite For “Shelter Me”

Sony Pictures

Nick Nolte and Jacqueline Bisset are re-teaming for the pandemic-set psychological drama “Shelter Me”.

The storyline will see Oliver Masucci portraying Jon Boylan, an A.I. research scientist who is unable to intimately connect with members of his test group (Nolte and Bisset).

He subsequently develops a remote monitoring system that exposes personal struggles, weaknesses and strengths during isolation that come to a reckoning as layers of personality begin to peel away.

Nolte and Bisset famously starred together in 1977’s ocean-set thriller “The Deep” based on “Jaws” author Peter Benchley’s novel.

“Shelter Me” marks the directorial debut of actor Jake Weber (“The Pelican Brief,” “Dawn of the Dead,” “U-571,” “Star Trek: Discovery”) who helms from a script he co-wrote with Tony Herbert. Kimberly Hines, Jim Steele, Eliza Flug, Mike Hatton, Joey Grill, Peg Donegan, Allan Mindel, and Ian Stack executive produce.
