Amazon Prime Video’s superhero satire series “The Boys” has reached its end.
Filming on the fifth and final season has just wrapped with showrunner Eric Kripke marking the occasion posting a photo of an iconic set – The Seven’s conference room.
He says in his caption: “This is the last time I’ll ever be on this set. It’ll be torn down soon. It’s bittersweet, but my primary feeling is gratitude. To [The Boys] family: I love you. To the fans: I can’t wait for you to see the grand finale. That’s a wrap.”
The former “Supernatural” creator/showrunner and “Timeless” executive producer previously described his work on this show as the “best job I’ve ever had”.
Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Jensen Ackles, Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capon, Nathan Mitchell, Chace Crawford, Colby Minifie, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Valorie Curry, Susan Heyward, Cameron Crovetti, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are all expected back while Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins have appearances int the new run.
The news comes as the second season of spin-off series “Gen V” is set to premiere on Prime on September 17th ahead of “The Boys” fifth season arriving around mid-2026.
