Peacock has premiered the teaser trailer for the limited series “The Best Man: The Final Chapters,” which will release its entire eight-episode run on December 22nd.
Shot in New York City, New Jersey and the Dominican Republic, this continues and concludes the Universal Pictures film franchise that began with the 1999 original film and was followed by “The Best Man Holiday” sequel in 2013.
The series will catch up with the main group as relationships evolve, and past grievances resurface in the unpredictable stages of midlife crisis meets midlife renaissance.
Morris Chestnut, Melissa De Sousa, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long and Harold Perrineau star.
The trailer was released during the Urbanworld Film Festival, the same event where the first film originally premiered. Malcolm D. Lee and Dayna Lynne North serve as showrunners, writers and executive producers, with Lee helming four of the episodes.
