“The Acolyte” To Be First Sith-Led Series

“Logan” actress Dafne Keen promises that the upcoming “Star Wars” spin-off series “The Acolyte” will be the first “Star Wars” series led by a Sith.

The Sith have been explored in “Star Wars” media in the past, but have never been the full focus of a series before. It’s not known which Sith, if any known ones, will be featured in the series.

In a recent interview with TechRadar whilst out promiting the final season of “The Golden Compass,” Keen was asked what she can say about the series and responeded:

“I can tease that it’s a prequel. No, I mean, as you know, it’s set 100 years before the prequel movies, and it’s kind of an explanation of how the Sith infiltrated the Jedi. It’s a Sith-led story, which has never been done before.”

Set within the final days of the High Republic era, “The Acolyte” has been described as a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers.

The series is being written and executive produced by Leslye Headland (“Russian Doll”) who will also be serving as the showrunner.
