The 2024 Oscar Winners

Universal Pictures

The 96th Academy Awards are underway in Los Angeles tonight hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Below is a list of the nominees and we’ll be updating it live as the winners are announced.

Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” swept this year’s awards with seven wins including Best Picture, director, actor, supporting actor, editing, cinematography and score.

Two other big winners were “Poor Things” with four awards for actress, production design, costumes and make-up and “The Zone of Interest” for best international feature and sound.

Other winners include “The Holdovers” for best supporting actress, Wes Anderson taking his first Oscar for “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar” as a short, and Miyazaki scoring his second Oscar for “The Boy and the Heron” winning best animated film.

Also winning were the VFX team of “Godzilla Minus One,” Billie Eilish for her “Barbie” song, and both “Anatomy of a Fall” and “American Fiction” taking script honors.

The ceremony has had several highlights so far from a starkers John Cena presenting the costume design awards, to Barbenheimer banter, Ryan Gosling’s performance of “I’m Just Ken,” and a “Twins” stage reunion which also involved a certain big screen Batman.
