The Television Academy has announced the winners for the 73rd Emmy Awards with Cedric the Entertainer hosting.
Unsurprisingly “The Crown” dominated the drama series category while both “Ted Lasso” and “Hacks” ruled over the comedy series categories, the three shows dominating all their categories.
Limited series divided up the wealth a lot more with “The Queen’s Gambit” and “Mare of Easttown” dominating while “I May Destroy You” and “Halston” also took an honor each.
Plenty of shutouts though as “The Boys,” “Bridgerton,” “The Mandalorian,” “Pose,” “This Is Us,” and “Lovecraft Country” were all left empty-handed. In addition Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” made history by losing all 21 of its nominations across the ceremonies – the most losing series in a single year.
