Beloved Dallas-Fort Worth cinema The Alamo Drafthouse has come up with one solution to the hole left by the cancellation of the release of Sony’s “The Interview”. The cinema chain had intended to screen the movie until it was pulled, instead they now plan to show free screenings of 2004’s “Team America: World Police”.

The cult marionette comedy from “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone revolves around the father of current North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un and sends up overblown U.S. action blockbuster filmmaker.
American flags and other patriotic items will be given out by theater employees says creative manager James Wallace who adds: “we’re just trying to make the best of an unfortunate situation.” The film will be screened on December 27th at 7pm and only at the Dallas/Fort Worth location for now.
After Sony canceled the release of the North Korea assassination comedy The Interview, a Texas theater said it would swap the film with Paramount’s 2004 film Team America: World Police for one free screening.
