A CG-animated TV series is in the works based on the classic falling bricks game “Tetris”.
Announced at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the project will be titled “Tetris: World Builders” with French animation studio TeamTO developing the series.
When massive, mysterious Tetrimino blocks begin raining from the sky, a fearless team of young ‘World Builders’ must help their world adapt and evolve.
Using ingenuity, collaboration, and STEAM-based thinking, the Scouts transform unexpected challenges into exciting new opportunities, reshaping landscapes, solving community problems, and building a brighter future together.
The Tetris Company says the series will blend “imaginative storytelling with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) inspired problem-solving”.
Also onboard is veteran executive producer Chuck Williams, who helped adapt “Sonic the Hedgehog” into its successful film franchise and is attached a new “Pac-Man” movie on the way.
