Terry Pratchett’s “Discworld” Adapted For TV

Terry Pratchett’s famous comic fantasy novel series “Discworld” is being adapted for the small screen.

Production company Narrativia has struck an exclusive development deal with Motive Pictures and Endeavor Content for a series of TV adaptations based on the property.

It is not yet known which of the books will be adapted initially, the series of novels has sold more than 100 million copies globally and when Pratchett died in 2015 he had completed more than 40 novels set in that universe.

One thing that has been made clear though is that these adaptations are said to remain “absolutely faithful” to Pratchett’s original works. Pratchett’s book “Good Omens” was adapted for a BBC Two & Amazon mini-series last year, and three of his “Discworld” novels made it to TV screens in the late 2000s with “Hogfather,” “The Colour of Magic” and “Going Postal”.
