Amazon’s IMDb TV service is developing the coming of age comedy series “High School” based on the 2019 memoir by Canadian recording artists and activists Tegan and Sara Quin.
Set against a backdrop of 1990s grunge and rave culture, the series tangles itself in the parallel and discordant memories of two sisters growing up down the hall from one another.
This is a story “about finding your own identity – a journey made even more complicated when you have a twin whose own struggle and self-discovery so closely mimics your own.”
Actress turned filmmaker Clea DuVall (“Happiest Season”) will direct the pilot and executive produce alongside the sisters for Amazon Studios and Plan B Entertainment.
