Following the “Legend of the Sea Devils” airing in the UK, the first photos and trailer have arrived for the third and last “Doctor Who” special for this year. It currently does not have a title.
Hitting this October and timed to the BBC’s Centenary celebrations, the feature-length episode features actress Jodie Whittaker’s final adventure as the thirteenth incarnation of The Doctor.
Both The Master (Sacha Dhawan) and The Lone Cyberman (Patrick O’Kane) return from the previous season, as do ‘Flux’ cast members Vinder (Jacob Anderson) and recurring player Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave) alongside regulars Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop).
More exciting for fans is the return of two old school companions – Tegan Jovanka (Janet Fielding) and Sophie Aldred (Ace) who voyaged with the fifth and seventh Doctors respectively.
The Daleks are also involved – marking the first time all three of the Doctor’s most famous foes have played major roles in a single “Doctor Who” story.
