Apple Original Films has set a December 2nd theatrical opening for its Will Smith-led run-from-slavery thriller “Emancipation”.
The film, which hails from director Antoine Fuqua, will then have a December 9th release on the Apple TV+ streaming site.
In addition the official teaser trailer for the fact-based film has been released and can be seen below.
William N. Collage pens the film which follows an enslaved man who, after recovering from a whipping that nearly killed him, braved the swamps of Louisiana armed with only his wits to escape cold-blooded slave hunters and be free.
The teaser releases follows the first screening of the film which took place on Saturday night.
