Netflix has released the teaser trailer for “Troll 2,” the upcoming sequel to Roar Uthaug’s 2022 Norwegian monster movie.
When a dangerous new troll is awakened, unleashing devastation across Norway, beloved adventurers Nora (Ine Marie Wilmann), Andreas (Kim Falck) and Captain Kris (Mads Sjøgård Pettersen) are thrust into their most perilous mission yet.
To stop the creature’s ruthless rampage, they must enlist new allies and delve into the country’s ancient history, searching for answers. As the clock ticks and the troll’s path of destruction grows wider, our heroes face impossible odds in their fight to save their homeland from falling into darkness.
The original film broke records, becoming the most popular non-English film to date for the streaming giant with 103 million views.
Uthaug (“The Wave,” Tomb Raider”) returns as director with the script by Espen Aukan, the new film promising to deliver “new and even more destructive trolls” along with a much larger-scale movie and an expanded adventure element. Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud produce.
“Troll 2” will premiere on December 1st on Netflix.
