Pathe and Chapter 2 have premiered both the official poster and teaser trailer for the adventure feature “The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan” – the first of a two-part epic saga.
Shot together, the $70 million budget project filmed for eight months on location in France and encompassed 650 horses, 9,000 extras and countless prestigious landmarks.
Martin Bourboulon directs the story, which adapts the legendary Alexandre Dumas novels and revolves around a handful of men and women who cross swords in a kingdom divided by religious wars and threatened by British invasion.
Eva Green leads the cast as Milady DeWinter, joined by Francois Civil as D’Artagnan, Vincent Cassel as Athos, Pio MarmaĂŻ as Porthos, and Romain Duris as Aramis.
Also starring are Louis Garrel as King Louis XIII, Vicky Krieps as Queen Anne, Eric Ruf as Cardinal Richelieu, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd as The Duke of Buckingham, and Marc Barbe, Lyna Khoudri, Patrick Mille and Julien Frison.
In France, “The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan” hits April 5th followed by the second film “The Three Musketeers: Milady” on December 13th.
