Studio Ponoc (“Mary and the Witch’s Flower’) has released a teaser trailer for the hand-drawn anime film adaptation of A.F. Harrold’s 2014 children’s book “The Imaginary”.
Born from a young girl’s imagination, Rudger is a boy no one can see who lives in a world where imaginations can live and be eaten by others.
Rudger and his new friends in ‘The Imaginaries Town’ embark on an adventure no one can see at the risk of the futures and fates of those they love.
Yoshiyuki Momose, who served as animation director on the acclaimed PS3 game “Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch,” directs. The film is set for release in Japan in the summer of 2022.
