After two films in a row being sent direct to the Disney+ streaming service (“Soul,” “Luca”), Pixar is headed back to the big screen in 2022 with the teaser trailer and poster arriving for their first of two films next year – “Turning Red”.
Oscar-winning filmmaker Domee Shi makes her feature-length directorial debut on the coming-of-age animated fantasy film starring Rosalie Chiang as Mei Lee, a 13-year-old who suddenly transforms into a giant red panda when she gets too excited or anxious.
Sandra Oh voices Mei Lee’s overprotective mother Ming who is never far from her daughter. The film is slated to arrive in cinemas on March 11th 2022.
