Netflix has released the teaser trailer for the Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy-led comedy “You People” which will premiere on the service on January 27th.
The official synopsis reads: a new couple and their families find themselves examining modern love and family dynamics amidst clashing cultures, societal expectations, and generational differences.
The clip shows a more straightforward meeting the parents comedy as Hill’s character desperately tries (and fails) to impress his fiancee’s parents played by Murphy and Nia Long.
Lauren London, David Duchovny, Sam Jay, Elliott Gould, Travis Bennett, Molly Gordon, Rhea Perlman, Deon Cole, Andrea Savage, Mike Epps, Emily Arlook, Alani La La Anthony, Bryan Greenberg, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus co-stsr.
The project hails from “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris who directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Hill. Kevin Misher, Hill, and Barris serve as producers.
