Following yesterday’s brief tease, Amazon MGM Studios has premiered the teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action “Masters of the Universe” feature.
In the film, ten-year-old Adam Glenn (Nicholas Galitzine) crash-lands on his mother’s home planet Earth, separating him from his ancestor’s Power Sword of Grayskull.
Two decades later, he takes his sword back and bears on the mantle of He-Man as he battles for his home planet, Eternia, against the evil forces of Skeletor (Jared Leto).
The footage offers a first look at Leto’s Skeletor design along with glimpses of Eternia, Castle Grayskull, Evil-Lyn, the Sorceress and Galitzine’s He-Man in his iconic costume.
The film also stars Idris Elba as Man at Arms, Battle Cat, Camila Mendes as Teela, Kristen Wiig as Roboto, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie and Christian Vunipola as Hussein.
“Masters of the Universe” opens in cinemas on June 5th.
