Hulu has premiered the official trailer for Searchlight Pictures’ influencer-themed dark satire “Not Okay”. Zoey Deutch stars as Danni Sanders, an aimless aspiring writer with no friends, no romantic prospects and no followers.
She fakes an Instagram-friendly trip to Paris in the hopes of boosting her social media clout, but a terrifying incident in the actual city sees her unwittingly fall into a lie bigger than she ever imagined.
Striking up an unlikely friendship with school-shooting survivor Rowan (Mia Isaac) and picking up the man of her dreams Colin (Dylan O’Brien), she finally has the life she always wanted – but the facade is cracking and the Internet loves a takedown.
“Not Okay” will premiere directly on the Hulu service on July 29th.
