Paramount Pictures has premiered the teaser trailer for “Bob Marley: One Love,” a biopic about the iconic reggae pioneer and legend.
Produced in partnership with the Marley family, the story celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through his message of love and unity. Discover Bob’s powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music which increased the visibility of Jamaican music worldwide, and made him a global figure in popular culture.
Kingsley Ben-Adir (“Peaky Blinders”) stars as the legendary musician alongside Lashana Lynch (“No Time to Die”) as his wife Rita. Jesse Cilio, James Norton, Michael Gandolfini, Nadine Marshall and Anthony Welsh co-star.
Reinaldo Marcus Green (“King Richard”) directs from a script written by Zach Baylin, Frank E. Flowers, and Terence Winter. Ziggy Marley produces the project which was filmed in England and Jamaica.
The film reportedly tries to be as authentic as possible, including filming at the actual places where Bob wandered, played football and sang. Marley still ranks as one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with sales of more than 75 million records worldwide.
“Bob Marley: One Love” opens exclusively in cinemas on January 12th 2024.
