Apple has announced an October 22nd premiere date for the ten-episode science fiction drama series “Invasion”.
Set across multiple continents, the story follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. The series stars Shamier Anderson (“Bruised”), Sam Neill (“Jurassic Park”), Golshifteh Farahani (“Extraction”), Firas Nassar (“Fauda”) and Shioli Kutsuna (“Deadpool 2”).
Neill plays a weathered rural lawman, Anderson a soldier stationed in Afghanistan, Farahani and Nassar are Syrian immigrants living in Long Island, and Kutsuna is a member of mission control in Japan’s space program.
The project hails from producers Simon Kinberg (“X-Men,” “Deadpool”) and David Weil (“Hunters”) and is directed by Emmy Award-nominee Jakob Verbruggen (“The Alienist,” “The Fall”).
The first three episodes will premiere on that date followed by new episodes weekly every Friday.
