A new teaser trailer is out for CBS’ latest incarnation of “The Equalizer” franchise – this one returning to its TV roots.
Queen Latifah stara as Robyn McCall, the ex-CIA agent who is trying to lead a quiet life when she becomes something of a hero-for-hire – helping innocents in need whom the authorities can’t or won’t help.
The cast also includes Chris Noth as her old handler William Bishop, Lorraine Toussaint as Viola ‘Aunt Vi’ Marsette, Tory Kittles as Det. Marcus Dante, Adam Goldberg as Harry Keshegian, Liza Lapira as Melody Bayani and Laya DeLeon Hayes as Delilah.
The show follows in the wake of the original 1980s TV series starring Edward Woodward, and the more recent pair of films starring Denzel Washington.
The new “The Equalizer” is set to premiere on February 7th directly after the Super Bowl.
