HBO Max has premiered a teaser for “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts,” an upcoming special that serves as a reunion of the franchise’s stars who reunite twenty years after the first film premiered in cinemas back in 2001.
The lead trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson will appear in the special alongside a range of cast members including Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) and more.
The teaser sees several cast members receiving letters akin to those from Hogwarts as they board the Hogwarts Express on Platform 9 3/4. The special promises to take fans “on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time”.
Warner Bros. Unscripted Television produced the special which will arrive exclusively on HBO Max on January 1st.
