A first teaser trailer has been released for Ben Wheatley’s “In the Earth,” the British filmmaker’s return to the horror genre which launched his career with the likes of “Kill List” and “Sightseers”.
Shot mostly in secret during the pandemic, the timely story is set in a world that searches for a cure to a disastrous virus as a scientist and park scout venture deep in the forest for a routine equipment run.
Through the night, their journey becomes a terrifying voyage through the heart of darkness, the forest coming to life around them. Joel Fry, Ellora Torchia, Hayley Squires and Reece Shearsmith co-star.
NEON is planning a U.S. theatrical release for the film sometime in 2021 following its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
