FX has released the trailer for the Andrew Garfield-led “Under the Banner of Heaven,” an event series adaptation of Jon Krakauer’s true crime novel.
The story follows a devout detective whose faith is tested as he investigates a brutal murder that seems to be connected to an esteemed Utah family’s spiral into Mormon fundamentalism.
Daisy Edgar-Jones also stars in the series created by Oscar-winner Dustin Lance Black (“Milk”) and directed by David Mackenzie (“Starred Up,” “Hell or High Water”).
Black, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Jason Bateman among others executive produce the series which will premiere exclusively on Hulu later this year.
