Taylor Sheridan Sets Megadeal At Universal?

Paramount

He has been Paramount’s golden boy for years now, but it seems Taylor Sheridan is moving to a new home in the near future.

Puck News and Variety report that the “Yellowstone” creator is poised to make NBCUniversal his TV and film production home with a lucrative long-term deal.

That deal is being lined up super early as it won’t kick off for another three years. At that time, he will have spent a decade with Paramount Television.

Sheridan is one of TV’s most prolific creators the past decade – churning out a huge line-up of series for Paramount+ and Paramount Network including – “Yellowstone” and its spin-offs like “1883,” “1923” and the upcoming CBS series “Y: Marshals”; along with “Tulsa King,” “Mayor of Kingstown,” “Lioness,” “Landman” and “Lawmen: Bass Reeves”.

It was known that Sheridan had been considering a new overall deal arrangement and Paramount, which has undergone a major overhaul since Skydance took over in August, has seen many of the core executives allied with Sheridan’s rise at the company having exited.

No official comment has yet come forward from either studio or Sheridan’s spokesperson according to the trade.
