“Split” and “The Witch” star Anya Taylor-Joy is teaming with Netflix’s “Godless” creator Scott Frank for a new limited series on the streamer titled “The Queen’s Gambit”.
An adaptation of the novel by Walter Tevis, Taylor-Joy will play Beth Harmon, a young woman coming-of-age and experiencing life’s hardships on her quest to become the world’s best chess player.
The actress has just begun filming photographer-turned-filmmaker Autumn de Wilde’s “Emma” based on the Jane Austen classic.
She will soon be seen in the new season of “Peaky Blinders,” Netflix’s “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” series, Josh Boone’s “The New Mutants,” Edgar Wright’s “Last Night in Soho” and Marjane Satrapi’s Marie Curie biopic “Radioactive”.
