“Kick-Ass” and “Bullet Train” star Aaron Taylor-Johnson has become a surprise frontrunner to be the next James Bond reports British tabloid The Sun.
Sources for the paper claimed the actor took part in a top-secret screen test in September at Pinewood Studios and seriously impressed Bond franchise boss Barbara Broccoli.
Their source claims: “Aaron went for a screen test to be the next Bond in September and producers and Barbara loved him. He is now one of the front-runners.”
The “Tenet” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” actor is 32 years old, smack dab in the currently early 30s age range the producers have previously expressed a desire to cast this time out.
Whomever lands the gig is expected to inhabit the role for a 10-12 year commitment.
