Tatum, Lord & Miller Plan Monster Mash

Channing Tatum is re-teaming with his “21 Jump Street” directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller for a currently untitled feature inspired by one of Universal’s classic monster features.

The tone is described as “a modern day, tongue in cheek thriller” that is inspired by Universal’s classic monster features, which will be produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The pair are not attached to direct, no helmer is linked at present.

Which monster isn’t clear. The studio recently reinvented “The Invisible Man” to strong success and has “The Wolfman” film on the way with Ryan Gosling. 2017’s “The Mummy” reboot was a failure so it’s unlikely to be him, leaving only Dracula, Frankenstein and his bride, The Phantom of the Opera and The Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Wes Tooke is behind the screenplay based on the original idea from Reid Carolin. Carolin, Tatum, Lord and Miller will produce along with Aditya Sood and Peter Kiernan.
