Creation Entertainment is currently hosting 56-Year Mission Las Vegas, one of the largest “Star Trek” fan conventions to have been assembled in recent years.
Ahead of Star Trek Day next month, actors who appeared across the various series are in attendance and have teased what’s to come. They include many cast members from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” who are talking up their highly anticipated return in the third and final season of “Star Trek: Picard” on Paramount+ next year.
Denise Crosby, who famously played Security Chief Tasha Yar on the show’s first season as a regular, and who subsequently appeared in latter seasons in various capacities, was among those on hand.
According to attendee and Twitter user TXTrek, she apparently revealed that she is appearing in the new run saying: “You will see Tasha Yar, but I’m not going to tell you how”.
Showrunner Terry Matalas has previously confirmed the villain of the new run will be a new character, thus ruling out Crosby’s return as Sela. How Yar might appear though is a big question.
Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn and Gates McFadden are all back for the new season, which is expected to air in early 2023.
