Tarantino’s Lost “Kill Bill” Short Hits “Fortnite”

Epic Games

In one of the strangest collaborations since “Fortnite” launched in 2017, this Sunday will see filmmaker Quentin Tarantino bring his previously unreleased Kill Bill chapter “Yuki’s Revenge” to Epic’s mega Battle Royale game.

Epic Games has premiered a teaser trailer for the collaboration today, offering a first look at the ‘chapter’ which never made it to film and is now emerging as a short in the world of “Fortnite”.

The short follows Yubari’s sister as she travels to America to hunt down The Bride, with Uma Thurman returning to voice The Bride. Fortnite provided the animation for the short.

That’s not all. In a blog on the Fortnite site, it’s said that the Yuki’s Revenge short will be shown as part of the exclusive limited theatrical run of “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair” in select North American and UK cinemas.

“Fortnite” players who purchase a ticket to the re-release in cinemas will also reportedly receive a code for the in-game Gogo Yubari outfit at participating theatres, according to WCCFTech.

The news comes as The Ankler has done an in-depth report on how filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson was actively involved in getting a “One Battle After Another” mini-game into “Fortnite,” one that would allow him to extend the story of the film.

The game is coming off its “The Simpsons”-themed run this month, with Chapter 7 titled ‘Zero Hour’ kicking off this coming Saturday.
