NBC has given a straight-to-series order for “Taken,” a TV series based on the Liam Neeson-led action thriller franchise which Universal Television and EuropaCorp will produce.
There is no writer or show runner attached to the reboot at this point, though a search is underway. What’s also undetermined is the number of episodes that the prequel will feature.
The project will reportedly serve as a prequel to the films – showing how Neeson’s character Bryan Mills honed his skills as a CIA operative.
