Tahar Rahim (“The Mauritanian,” “The Serpent”) is set to co-star with Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby in Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon” which is currently in production at Apple Studios.
David Scarpa pens the film which offers an original and personal look at Napoleon Bonaparte (Phoenix) from his origins and swift, ruthless climb to emperor – viewed through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife Josephine (Kirby).
Rahim will play Paul Barras, the powerful Commissioner of the Revolutionary Army. Scott, Mark Huffam and Kevin Walsh will produce.
