Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton is the first name to be officially cast in celebrated filmmaker Wes Anderson’s upcoming post-WW2 France-set musical which will be his next project.
Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman and Lea Seydoux have also all been rumored to be joining the fun. Pitt and Anderson previously worked together on a Jaques Tati-inspired commercial a decade ago (see that below) and have since been looking for a project on which to re-team. Portman has previously worked with Anderson on “The Darjeeling Limited” and short film “Hotel Chevalier”,
Filming begins shortly in France on the untitled film which is also rumored to feature songs by Mark Mothersbaugh. It’s expected Anderson’s usual suspects like Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Bill Murray will appear.
