“Supernatural” executive producer Andrew Dabb has confirmed on Twitter that tonight’s episode of the fifteenth and final season of The CW series will be the last one for now.
The season was to run a total of twenty episodes, with eighteen of them having completed filming before production shut down. Tonight’s episode is the thirteenth and titled ‘Destiny’s Child’, and Dabb says “this will be our last episode for awhile” as this is the last one to be fully completed for now.
Episodes 14-18 can not be finished as yet due to the visual effects and sound departments having closed because of the outbreak. Fans won’t be completely without the show over the coming weeks though as there will be “some special treats coming along the way to help us all get through this.”
Dabb also assures fans that: “we, The CW, and Warner Bros. fully intend to return and finish the series. It’s not a matter of ‘if,’ it’s a matter of ‘when.'”
