The CW has released a first full-length look at Tyler Hoechlin in his newly redesigned Superman costume, with “streamlined muscle structure,” for the upcoming TV series “Superman & Lois”.
Hoechlin says in a statement: “I find that the new suit is representative of the show. Just as this suit is unique and set apart from the ones that preceded it, the story we’re telling about Clark/Superman at this point in his life is unique and something we’ve never seen before.”
Designed by Laura Jean Shannon and built by her LA based Supersuits team in conjunction with Creative Character Engineering, the look completely changes the neck and cape attachment of Hoechlin’s previous appearance in the role in other CW shows.
The costume boasts “dynamic design lines, a sculpted armored belt, and a new neckline and cape “to maximize the billowing” along with updated colors.
“Superman & Lois” premieres Tuesday, February 23rd on The CW.
