“Suits” Sets Nielsen Streaming Record

USA Network

Nearly four years after it wrapped up, USA Network series “Suits” is surprisingly breaking records on streaming according to ratings giant Nielsen.

The show recently became available on Netflix on June 23rd and, as a result, set a viewing time record for an acquired series in a single week (June 26th-July 2nd) with 3.14 billion minutes of watch time recorded.

That easily surpasses the previous high watermark of 2.49 billion minutes, which “Manifest” scored in June 2021 when old episodes of it popped up on the same service.

In fact, the margin could’ve been bigger had it gone a bit later as consumers had already watched 2.3 billion minutes of “Suits” in the three days it was available in the prior week measured (June 19th-25th).

The “Suits” watching was so big it eclipsed the debut of the third season of “The Witcher”, which snagged 1.31 billion minutes of viewing. The final season of Prime Video’s “Jack Ryan,” which premiered June 30th, also made the top 10 of that week with 778 million minutes.

Nielsen’s streaming ratings cover viewing on TV sets only and don’t include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings also only measure U.S. audiences.
