Actress Millie Bobby Brown says she is ready to move on from “Stranger Things” once things come to an end with its upcoming fifth and final season.
Brown has been the lead star of the series since the beginning, playing the character of Eleven since the pilot episode. As a result she’s become a household name who has gone on to other projects, including the successful “Enola Holmes” movies.
The last run of “Stranger Things” episodes would’ve been in production at this point, but those plans have been derailed because of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Filming is expected to resume once they’re over, and in a recently published interview with Women’s Wear Daily, the actress spoke about leaving Eleven behind:
“I think I’m ready. Its been such a huge factor in part of my life, but it’s like graduating high school, it’s like senior year. You’re ready to go and blossom and flourish and you’re grateful for the time you’ve had, but it’s time to create your own message and live your own life.”
This follows on from similar comments in recent months from her co-stars such as David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo who understand that five seasons feels like a good end point, though the two young stars do wonder about where they’ll go next.
Production on the fifth season isn’t expected to get underway until 2024.
