The series finale of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” is now available on the streaming service, and the impact is already being felt.
Fans on social media reported technical difficulties while trying to watch the two-hour conclusion of the supernatural hit series, which launched just over an hour ago.
Based on outage indicators, complaints about the service crashing peaked just a few minutes later and are now steadily declining. Current indicators state the service is up and running fine in numerous locations.
The three episodes of the fifth season’s second volume debuted on Christmas and drew 34.5 million views. The fifth season overall is at 137.1 million views since the first volume premiered in November.
The two-hour finale has also begun screening in cinemas, showing in over 350 cinemas through New Year’s Day, with many sessions sold out.
The finale sees the team taking on Vecna and trying to stop his plans once and for all.
