In the wake of the “Stranger Things” finale on New Year’s Eve, some crazy theories started popping up online, including one that gathered a lot of momentum – ‘Conformity Gate’.
That theory was that a secret episode of the series had been created and would be released on Wednesday.
Well, the day arrived, and no such episode appeared. In fact, Netflix updated its bios on the show to confirm that “All Episodes of ‘Stranger Things’ Are Now Playing” – confirming that the show has officially concluded and no hidden episode exists.
Despite the clarification, online discussion is still being dominated by the theory that has stirred up talk over the show’s finale all over again – some satisfied with it, some not so much.
The theory suggested the 18 Months Later ‘time jump’ part of the finale was an illusion created by Vecna.
Feeding that was the promotional campaign for Netflix’s 2026 slate, which was first teased mysteriously in late December before being announced today.
