Benedict Cumberbatch has revealed that not only is pre-production well underway on the highly-anticipated “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” but filming kicks off in a matter of weeks. Cumberbatch tells Watch Time this week: “We will start filming in late October or early November.” Sam Raimi helms the project, dubbed the first horror film in the MCU.
Actress Alicia Vikander tells EW that the sequel to the recent “Tomb Raider” film reboot still hasn’t locked down a shooting start at the moment: “The plan was for us to start making one this year, of course, due to the [pandemic] situation, that’s now very different. We’re still in discussions about it, so I hope we can probably get to it next year.” Ben Wheatley helms the new entry.
Bette Midler has confirmed rumors she, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy had all begun talks with Disney to reprise the roles as the Sanderson Sisters in a sequel to 1993’s “Hocus Pocus”. Asked if she’s in for the film, she tells ET Online: “Oh yeah. We’re just talking logistics… I can’t wait to fly!”.
Finally, Jamie Foxx has confirmed on Instagram he is returning to the role of Electro for Tom Holland’s upcoming third “Spider-Man” installment, and adds that this version will be different from his work in the second Andrew Garfield film – namely: “I won’t be blue in this one”.
