Two of the biggest early Summer blockbusters this year have just revealed atypical runtimes for their respective franchise.

Fandango reports that Sam Raimi’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” will be coming in as the shortest Phase 4 film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – clocking in at just 126 minutes.

The last Marvel Studios film to run shorter was “Captain Marvel” in 2019 at 124 minutes. Since then the MCU films have been leaning around the 140-150 minute mark.

In contrast, it has also been revealed by Collider that Colin Trevorrow’s upcoming “Jurassic World: Dominion” will clock in at 146 minutes – by far the longest entry in that franchise to date.

With the exception of “Jurassic Park III” at 92 minutes, all four other entries in the franchise have hovered just a few minutes over the two-hour mark.

Both films will be theatrical releases only with “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” arriving May 6th whilst “Jurassic World Dominion” hits June 10th.
