Celebrated British filmmaker Steve McQueen (“Shame,” “Hunger”) has set his next directorial effort “Blitz” at New Regency and Working Title Films.
The story is reportedly based on an original idea from McQueen and marks a return to New Regency for him following their success together with “12 Years a Slave” and the “Widows” remake.
It also marks a return of McQueen to theatrical feature filmmaking following his celebrated “Small Axe” anthology series and several documentaries.
McQueen reportedly hopes to begin production on the film in 2022.
