Lucasfilm has reportedly already begun development on the third volume of its animated anthology series “Star Wars: Visions”.
The news comes just as ‘Volume 2’ made its Disney+ debut on Star Wars Day on Thursday, with nine new episodes from different filmmakers around the globe.
That second volume arrived two years after the first hit in 2021, so it’s quite possible a third volume won’t be seen until 2025. Then again it’s not clear how far through development the next volume has already progressed.
Further details about the potential studios working on a new Volume have not yet been revealed.
As with the most recent volume, it’s expected to employ various animation styles across multiple countries and cultures.
The likes of Anjelica Huston, Daniel Dae Kim, Ashley Park, Anika Noni Rose, Daveed Diggs, Cynthia Erivo, Lucy Liu, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Temuera Morrison, Neil Patrick Harris, Alison Brie, Karen Fukuhara, Simu Liu, Kyle Chandler, David Harbour, Jordan Fisher, Henry Golding, Jamie Chung, and George Takei have all lent their voices to the previous seasons.
The recent second volume scored a perfect 100% (9/10) on Rotten Tomatoes. It is now available to stream worldwide on the Disney+ service.
