Production on Lucasfilm’s upcoming “Star Wars” spin-off series “The Acolyte” has reportedly begun at Shinfield Studios in the United Kingdom.
“The Hunger Games” actress Amandla Stenberg and “Squid Game” lead Lee Jung-jae star in the mystery-thriller series set within the final days of the High Republic era.
It’s a galaxy full of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers. Specifics of the plot are under wraps, but it is believed to focus in part on the Sith. Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto, and Charlie Barnett co-star.
The series is being written and executive produced by Leslye Headland (“Russian Doll”), who will also be serving as the showrunner.

The large outdoor set (market/town) is being utilized. Sources also report series lead Amandla Stenberg being ushered in and out of her trailer.
Filming is expected to continue through May.
