“Star Wars: Squadrons” Gameplay Trailer

The EA Play 2020 conference was held last night and sadly not a lot was revealed beyond expected titles.

While we may not have received news of a “Mass Effect” trilogy remake, and only saw what looked like scant seconds from “Dragon Age 4,” one game that was shown off well was “Star Wars: Squadrons”.

The space combat game offered around six minutes of space dogfighting action alongside gameplay details. The title will offer a single-player story alongside a multiplayer mode while giving players the option to experience it all in VR.

The single-player story alternates between two combat pilots and flying for both the Empire as Case Kassandora and the New Republic as Rao Highmoon. In multiplayer, there will be a variety of ships to choose from.

“Star Wars: Squadrons” will also feature multiple modes – dogfights are 5 vs. 5 team-based battles that resemble standard multiplayer FPS deathmatch albeit in space. The game arrives October 2nd via PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Origin PC, Steam, Epic Games Store and Virtual Reality.
