Respawn Entertainment has premiered a story-centric trailer for the upcoming “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” – the sequel to 2019’s “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order”.
Whereas previous trailers focused on the third person action-adventure gameplay, this one looks into the game’s narrative which takes place five years later as Cal Kestis (Cameron Monaghan) come into his own and has grown into a powerful Jedi Knight.
Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous – he and his team are on the lookout for a safe haven the Empire can’t find.
The Dark Times are closing in – with enemies new and familiar surrounding him. Cere Junda, Bode Akuna, Stinger Mantis captain Greez Dritus, and Cal’s Nightsister ally Merrin can all be seen in the trailer for the game.
There’s also glimpses of various locations. The most telling bit is we appear to see and hear the person in the old stasis tube we saw in the teaser trailers as eagle-eyed fans have spotted marking suggesting he’s a Jedi Knight from the High Republic era.
The character demands Cal explain to him why the Jedi have let the ‘machine’ of an Empire ravage everything. The game launches on April 28th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
