“Star Wars: Jedi – Survivor” Reviews Are In

EA

The reviews are out for “Star Wars: Jedi – Survivor” with the title scoring an 86/100 on PS5 and Xbox Series X and an 81/100 on PC on Metacritic.

That’s actually better than its predecessor “Star Wars: Jedi – Fallen Order” which snagged a 79/100 on PS4 and 81/100 on Xbox One back in 2019.

Sadly the increasingly commonplace issue of a new AAA title’s PC version having a variety of technical issues has once again reared its head here as DSO Gaming indicates the title has “major CPU and VRAM optimization issues on PC”.

The outlet has a video showing gameplay that, even at 1440p. an RTX 4090 can’t maintain 50fps. They add that the game has enormous VRAM requirements with even a 3080Ti unable to run it at 4K.

The problems aren’t limited entirely to PC with the console edition also said to have issues. EA has already promised on Twitter that the game is in line for multiple patches over the next few weeks to improve the game’s performance, fix bugs and add more accessibility features. The first patch arrives on launch day across all platforms.

“Star Wars: Jedi – Survivor” releases on console and PC this Friday.
