Star Wars Celebration 2023 Key Panel Times

Lucasfilm

Though Easter is a three or four-day holiday weekend for many, “Star Wars” fans from around the world are heading to the UK to participate in Star Wars Celebration 2023 which is unfolding in London this year after last year’s event in California.

The 2022 event saw the teaser trailer for “Andor” released online, a second season trailer for “The Bad Batch,” the brief first footage for “Star Wars: Ahsoka” shown (but not released online) and announcements regarding “The Mandalorian,” “Tales of the Jedi,” “Star Wars Vision” and more.

This year is expected to be bigger with the first proper footage from both “Ahsoka” and “Skeleton Crew” likely to be released, and a potential preview of the last few episodes to still air of “The Mandalorian” Season 3.

Both “The Acolyte” and “Andor” Season 2 have been in production for months so might show off some brief early footage – though any such clips if they are shown are unlikely to be officially released online.

It’s expected some major announcements about the future of “Star Wars” on TV and especially on film are coming too. So when will all of this hit? Though it’s a four-day event, the biggest reveals will likely take place across three panels in the mornings of this Friday and Saturday.

Specificaly on Friday, April 7th the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase will be the big reveal of new “Star Wars” projects and first footage. It takes place at the following times on Good Friday:

US-PT: 3am-4:30am
US-PT: 6am-7:30am
UK-GMT: 11am-12:30pm
Australia-EST: 8pm-9:30pm

That same day will come a panel for the making of the first season of “Andor” which could offer more insight into the show’s second season. It runs at the following times also on Good Friday:

US-PT: 7am-8am
US-PT: 10am-11am
UK-GMT: 3pm-4pm
Australia-EST: 12am-1am (Saturday Apr 8th)

On Saturday, April 8th will come the “Ahsoka” Panel which will go into the new show and if a trailer isn’t released as part of the showcase the day before, then it’ll likely debut here. It runs at the following times on Easter Saturday:

US-PT: 3am-4am
US-PT: 6am-7am
UK-GMT: 11am-12pm
Australia-EST: 8pm-9pm

Later in the event are panels celebrating the various animation efforts of the franchise and a look back at “Obi-Wan Kenobi” though these are unlikely to yield much in the way of film/TV news or announcements. Dark Horizons will be covering the panels as they stream and posting what gets released as quickly as possible. Stay tuned to the site for coverage throughout the weekend.
